Student Council Years 7-12
Students are led by a Head Boy and Girl and Deputy Head Boy and Girl. The Student Council is managed by a staff member to be a pro-active group of motivated students who work hard to represent students’ views and ideas for improvement both at College and in the wider community.
Students are elected by their peers to represent their year group concerns and ideas. Student Councillors are involved in the day to day running of the college through the running of assemblies and activities for other students. They also represent the college in the wider community by participating in the Mount Barker RSL’s ANZAC march and ceremony, and the Shire of Plantagenet’s Blessing of the Roads Ceremony. Students also have the opportunity to participate in leadership camps and courses which provide councillors with the tools to be effective future leaders.
Year 6 Prefects and House Captains
Elected students lead students in the K – 6 years of the college. They are supported by the College Chaplain in their Leadership role. They are involved in reporting their events at regular assemblies, and work with the 7-12 Student Board in major college events like the ANZAC Assembly and organising ‘fun days’. They also represent the college in the wider community by participating in the Mount Barker RSL’s ANZAC march and ceremony, and the Shire of Plantagenet’s Blessing of the Roads Ceremony.
