The Education Department provides access to instrumental tuition to selected Year 6 -12 students who demonstrate musical aptitude or musical potential. Lessons take place during college hours and students are expected to keep in touch with any work that is missed in the classroom.
Tuition is provided on trumpet, trombone, baritone horn, clarinet, saxophone, flute and percussion.
Students are also encouraged to enhance their musical skills by participating in the MBCC Concert Band. The band currently rehearses weekly on Wednesday afternoons between 2.30 and 3.30pm. The band performs both at school and in a limited number of meaningful community events such as Anzac Day.
For more information contact the classroom music specialist and Education Department instrumental tutor. Their contact details are available through the school reception.
